Justin Bieber: I'm not worried about hitting puberty at all!

When you are a teenage year old human boy, the inevitable is just around the corner. Weird changes start happen and your body begins to transform. For legions of fans everywhere, it’s the question that is embedded on everyone’s minds: Will puberty destroy Justin Bieber’s career??

OK, so it’s not like he’s turning into one of the "Twilight" werewolves or anything. He’s a real boy, and let’s face it, puberty happens. The 16 year-old says he remains confident that Bieber fever will continue to infect his fans, even while he’s sporting a beard (or rather when his voice gets deeper).

In an interview with Vibe.com Justin said, "Everyone's voice changes. Puberty is a natural thing."

"I have the best vocal coach in the world and we're working on my voice and doing what I need to do. It's not like as soon as you hit puberty you stop singing.”

Well Justin, tell that to Peter Brady. However unlike that fictional 70s character, Justin has a real role model to look up to.

Platinum selling recording artist Usher is not only the young pop singer’s own personal guide to keeping it cool with the ladies or breaking it down with some smooth dance moves, but with these recent changes coming his way, Justin can also look to his mentor for how to transition from kid star to adult worldwide success.

“Usher is the best mentor in the world and he survived puberty,” he said. “He tells me what to do, what not to do." While Usher may be telling Justin what to do in the entertainment industry, there’s only one woman in Justin’s life that makes all the decisions — his mom!

"My mom is still my mom. She could care less if I'm an international superstar. I still have to clean my room on the tour bus. She takes my computer at 12 [a.m.] so I can sleep," he said. "I don't have a bedtime [but] she doesn't want me on the computer because she doesn't want it to rot my brain. When she takes away my computer, I still play with my iPad. She doesn't know.”

Sneaky, sneaky! While many worry about Justin growing up too fast, sounds to us like the Biebster is still just livin’ life like like a regular kid (minus selling out shows in massive arenas, of course).

But one thing’s for sure, the day will one day arrive when Justin’s face becomes more chiseled, his chest gets a bit broader and maybe Kim Kardashian will finally give him an actual chance! (We’re joking about the last part. Please, don’t send us death threats, Bieber fans!)

For now, Justin said he’s content with exploring new countries than exploring the opposite sex.

“My mom has me on a tight leash and [she's] being real protective. The girls show up wearing nothing," he told Vibe. “[But] not many people get to do what I'm doing. It's amazing. My favorite thing is being able to travel around the world and perform for my fans.”
